Regarding inquiries about damages to checked baggage, we kindly ask you to contact your airline. In order for us to help you, please provide documentation of the damage itself, and proof of value. You may upload these files on the next page. If you have received a reference number in relation to damage caused in security, it must be entered in the form below. Please note that all inquiries will be listed in our public journal, and published on our web site.

Terms for storage of personal data
I agree that Avinor may collect and use personal information about me in order to process my request/inquiry. This information includes the storing of my name, basic contact information and data.

Reimbursement claim for damaged or lost item in security
Damaged items not packed in accordance to valid intructions defined by Avinor will not be reimbursed. Avinor AS holds no responsibility if the traveller leaves security without claiming their items, and these later disappear. Liquids not sealed in accordance to official regualtions, which must be handed over so security, will not be reimbursed.
To be eligible for reimbursement there must be an economic loss, a basis for liability, and an adequate causation between liability and the economic loss. The relevant liability is negligence (culpa). The burden of proof is in the hands of the claimer.
Where the terms for reimbursement is met, and full compensation will be paid, documentation must be included. Compensation claims with documentation must be sent to Avinor AS before the economic transaction is completed.
